Genre: Platform
Version: 0.6.1
GM: 6.1
Fullscreen: Optional
Controls: In the game info
Download Link: See end of post

This is a platform game (I call it an engine because it doesn't have anything official, regarding levels) that I've been working on for about five months now. The goal is simple: get to the end of the level by dashing, jumping, evading, and quite possibly dying. It isn't always easy. :)

There are a few modes to choose from, and they include: sequential (where you advance through the current single levels), single play (where you can choose a level to play, or make a playlist to play), challenge (consists of levels considered by some to be quite hard. It is recommended that you play them), and time trials (not in the game yet). Regarding the challenge mode... Only play it if you have gotten a hang on the game controls by playing single play.

If you find the game lagging too much (can make the challenge levels super hard if it lags), simply go to the options, and turn off special effects. Also, if you find the game too hard, try setting the difficulty to easy (in the options).

There are many features:

-Smooth gameplay
-Nice menus
-Many specials moves, such as wall jumping, hyper jumping, dashing, and grounding
-Simple game controls, all you need are arrow keys and the Z key!
-Nice levels
-Challenge mode is truly challenging
-Pausing
-Full blown options

And more.

Please remember to read the controls, which are in the game info, and... Enjoy!

Download Now!

If that link doesn't work, there is a download link on the page that will.

Beautiful Screenshots. I like the combo button moves. Very interesting! This would be helpful for those SSBM game makers. You should give out the gm6 for this when your done for people to learn from it. Good Job!... BTW Nice screenshots! I like it.

Thanks man.

I may give out the source at some point, but I'm not sure... The code is uncommented, and sometimes messily done. I could certainly use my tapping code in an example though.

It's a nice game, I like the smoothness of it. It does get frustrating, but that's expected in a game like this. Id does remind me a little bit of Jumper, but it's more complex. And definitely smoother.

The graphics are simple, yet pleasant to the eyes, like the way the ball rolls (which is a little unrealistic concerning light sources, but it looks nice :)).

Unfortunately I have little patience for games like these so I didn't stick with it very long. But it's improving, definitely!
Very professional looking.

The graphics are beautiful. I don't see how the idea is lame unless you think platformers suck, in which case you don't like Mario, Sonic, Jumper, etc.

This is a good game. Good graphics, smooth movement, stuff like that. I have a suggestion though: don't listen to people who think it's lame.

By idea, I think he means the fact that it's a platformer...

This is my opinion on it:
Wow, this is amazing! The levels could use some reordering, however. Level one was harder tahn 2 and 3. I didn't beat 4. I like this alot though, and the graphical effects and graphics are amazing! Definately a 9.5/10.

it's very nice I like it. I did find it lagging at some points. I sugest not drawing things out side of the view, particles especially. I think adding more levels is obvious so I won't say it. Also how about keeping the level the same :( it was hard but not to hard. I had to read the manual to learn how to do special moves (i didn't read it the first time) mby make a tutorial level that makes you do all the moves to teach you. How about having blocks that you need to do the sideways dash to break through them.

EDIT: I wrote this on 64digits and it looks like this is a more recent version... I'm going to download again from here and see if their is anything different :(

EDIT2: Wait ok I guess I need to try all the modes :P reposting later

Heh. Yeah, lags for me too. Also, particles don't draw when they're outside of the view, I took care of that ages ago. Funny, I plan on making a step by step tutorial level since a lot of people have trouble with special moves.

Thanks for the input, everyonr.

Real nice, extremely smooth.

Few small bugs to mention.
Whenever you die from hitting the spikes, the spikes become white while the debri stuff is around.
For some reason, the game will stop responding every now and then at the opening part of the level(At what seems to be the exact moment the camera no longer zooms out).

Awesome though, I really wanna see some more done on this

Wow, thanks man.

The spike issue has to do with my uncareful use of additive blending. (eg, not setting it back to normal after additive). I will fix that eventually, but it isn't top priority.

The game stops responding at the beginning... What do you mean - freezing or you can't control the ball?

Glad you liked it. :(

You could add water and allow the marble to go swimming.

Possibly. I certainly wanna be more varied though. Thing is, the ball would sink. XD

Really quite fun. Nicely coded.

Thanks.

I LOVE YOU MELEE-MASTER!

Mike, getting a little... Strange. XD I'm assuming that means you like this, so thanks.

good job. everything here was made well done. graphics are nice..everything fits in exactly perfect. Nice sounds too and so is the level design. Your gonna add more levels? because when you go down the "levels select" menu the levels disappear..

I've said it before, I'll say it again:
This game is smooth, plain and simple.
The graphics were quite good, though not incredibly artistic.
Anyway, the challange levels are pretty nasty. Here's hoping the finished version has more average-difficulty levels, hmm?
