A Day in the Life of Bob
Name: A Day in the Life of Bob Category: Life Simulator/RPG Size: 2.57MB Version: Ver 6 Resolution: 1024x768 Changes Resolution: no Mulitplayer: no Download Links: New version 1.1: Updated version (Executable) Editable Version 1.0: Link one Link two Screenshots: ![]() This is my first game release (but not my first game). I have a couple others that need some polishing off, so stay tuned! This is a role playing game in which you, Bob, attempt to become as rich as possible. There are places to work, eat, and sleep, along with a school and gym and several places to work. Also, there is a casino and an arcade with minigames. A saving feature allows you to play for as long as you want because the game only ends when Bob dies. If you keep him healthy, he'll live forever. For RPG fans, there is no quest or a storyline, however it is a role-playing game. -Polystyrene Man This post has been edited by Polystyrene Man: Apr 9 2007, 11:40 PM |

How about a screenshot? That would be good, because I don't download without a screenie.

Try re-uploading it, because it says the file is corrupted when I try to open it.

Sorry, I'm new here...
-How do you post a screenshot? (Without a file host I mean) -How do you un-corrupt a file? I have tried re-uploading it several times now but it's still corrupted. Getting kind of frustrated actually. |

But there are file hosts that you don't need an account or anything, just click a few buttons then copy the source it gives you directly into your post. Here is Imageshack, it is my favorite one for images only. -Can't really help you there. Except, maybe try compressing it(turn it into a .zip). Do you know how to do that? If you have Windows XP, Right-click on the file you want to compress, then click send to, then click Compressed .ZIP file(or something like that, you will figure it out!). Your uploader may not support .gm6 files, so as I said, you may need to compress it. |

Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to get some images uploaded!
As for the corrupt file, I've already tried putting it in a zip folder without luck. Tomorrow I'll try making a new file for the game, though I'm not very optimistic about this. It's really getting on my nerves now because I spent a long time working on this game. |

No, I don't think that's the problem. I've tried uploading some other games and they all seem to work fine. I have one more idea for fixing the file, but it may take a while. So just hang tight.

Maybe you should post the exe?
I know it's a bit larger, but this game looks good from the screenshots! |

Making an exe would really boost your downloaders. Maybe up to 1.

Now you all know that I'm new with this. Does exe stand for executable? If so I've already tried it. I was even desperate enough to try uploading an editable version. I don't really care if you use my sprites or codes as long as you give credit.

I meant that I'm new to the forum and I don't know the lingo. It doesn't mean I don't know how to make a game using something as simple as Gamemaker.

Great! There is something im not sure of.
I'll PM you just to be safe... Expand it! Great game but too small. The minigame pace are too fast except for asteroids and pong. Pong is too hard. Gambling is too hard and boring. Do roulette!!! Expand!! Make teleport go to different cities and planets! |

I can see that you haven't played very long
As for the casino, I know it's hard (aren't they all?) but there are cheats. The game is a lot bigger than what you might get on your first impression (which is why it takes so darn long to load). What do you suggest I do with the minigames? I don't think pong is to hard, but I know the platform game is crap. I'm thinking about replacing it with something easier to program such as snake.
