OFFICIAL DEMO

ATTENTION,ATTENTION. THIS GAME CHANGES RESOLUTION.........LIKE EVERY OTHER 16 BIT OLDSKOOL PIXEAL ART GAME OUT THERE! AKA COMMANDO, MAZIAC ETC.

STORY:

In the future, a new planet began to orbit earth. After discovering that the planet was hospitable, it was decided that the planet be stabilized and colonized. This project was codenamed Project Lucon, and Lucon became the planet's name. Years later, when Lucon was eventually colonized, an unknown race of Aliens called "The Amalgam" attacked the new planet. After a costly battle that resulted in their defeat, they fled. The Amalgam warned that they will return someday.
As a result, a supper cannon was built on Lucon to help defend the new planet. Powerfull enough to destroy several ships with 1 strike, it was to be used only as a means of protection and defense. No one could have forseen what would happen next...

I really love the graphics! The weapons look really awesome. :)

Also for the ai. There isnt much to say since they arent doing very much. Butthey should not have the same movespeed as the player because it looks strange when both are moving at the same speed and none is catching up on the other.

When the enemies jump they seem to stay in air if they are touching the wall. Great start! I love the Alternate fire with space. (It says Space=Strafe in info though)

Hmm, u really have a bad habit of starting your posts with no screenshots. U did the same with The Insignia and i almost didn't download it.

The graphix are excellent. They look real close to the stuff u did with the Insignia. I love the AI. Its alot better than the one you had with the Insignia as this one actually moves back and *jumps over your bullets(?)*. Your weapon designs are awesome and the reloading animations kick ass. YOU BETTER FINISH THIS ONE!

Thhe effects are nice!
The AI is pretty... strange...

tanx y'all. Unfortunately, i cant show u guys the other weapons because this game will be incredibly short and there will be little to discover. I really hope i finish this. The Ai right now looks wierd b/c there is no weapon. When i do get weapons in, it will look kickass,

Here's a new test version, NOT A DEMO! I improved the AI a lil bit and gave em alien weapons. I know the environment is kinda blank now but leave me sum comments on the graphix and AI and the overall feel of the game(Fast,slow,action-paced,boring, etc)

PRESS F1 FOR IN GAME CONTROLS BUT THERE ARE SOME CHANGES:

PRESS ALT TO STRAFE
PRESS SPACE TO CHANGE THE FUNCTION OF THE GUN

I found a bug though... When I start the jets and fly a bit in the air, it puts me somewhere outside the screen! :GM6:

Good job! I like the graphics and the weapon animations are so cool. I think you should make that when you change the function of your gun, the weapons HUD should reflect that (i.e glow red or somn'). I realy hope this test level makes it into the game. I like the "abandoned-base-in-the-mountains" feel to it.

I'm fed up with all these resolution changing games, it messes with the size of everything that I have open, it was ok but I'm done testing games unless its stated if it changes the resolution or not.

Gawd stupid forums. I've been trying to get here for 4 good days!! and everytime it says "Sorry, the server is to busy" or some **** like that.

Well i don't really like the jetpack effects, it doesn't really look like a jetpack IMO. Everything else seems to fit in quite nicely. The background does look a bit blank, maybe add a nice big scrolling background or two to give it some more atmosphere. Looks like a good start. I also notice that enemies got stuck sometimes....nothing major ofcourse they seemed to set themself free aswell.

Take out the jets! Since this game is intended to be really short as you said, jets will only make it easier to beat. The AI is pretty good. They like turn around when you shoot them and try to dodge ur shots. The graphics are impressive too. I really hope this one doesnt end up like ur other game, the Insignia.

The new graphics are awesome. I like the bg too. I had discovered trick in the previous demo where u cudd save ammo by reloading only in secondary mode. I guess u took it out. Oh well, i hope u finish this one!

Thanx for the positive replys. I have decided to take out jets b/c if u think of it, twentysix's thinking is pretty reasonable. In its place, i will make it so the main character can push boxes. And relax masker56, i WILL finish this one

I made some minor changes like changing the HUD and the main character's color to green. I also took away some color so that the game doesnt look too colorfull, given that this is mainly a shooter.

The few new things u added, like pushing boxes, are kewl but what happened to the paralax scrolling background? The enemies still stick on walls but i guess they are supposed to do that. Cool demo. Not much to do though...

btw is that purple gun the same one from The Insignia?
