Oh boy! First reply!
Anyways, I'm trying to download as I speak, but unfortunately it wasn't until daverave told me that the host I was using sucked...so therefore the download time is really slow and sometimes it doesnt even come through. I suggest using this host:

http://host-a.net

It's much better, although less upload space...

Have you tried to Sign Up first (I know you probably did but just asking).

Anyway, still trying here to download and I keep getting errors, so the current host has to go. :D If you can't get http://host-a.net to work, here's another one.

Your host appears to have been slashdotted. You should upload it at several hosts because this game seems to be very popular.
Also that host sucks :huh:
I know that problem with "File contains no data" thing. That happens when you upload a zip file that's big. I'm gonna ask camzmac about that and see if he can fix it.

FEEDBACK

:lol: This game has definitely been on my "Must download" list and I have to say; it has met my expectations. Firstly, I love your graphics style. Its very clear, varied and colorful (excuse the pun) and the main character kind of looked cute in his own weird way. The movement was pretty solid and moving around a level was easy and fun. The game play was really great!!! Your level design skills are innovative and smart. I loved how the levels were filled with lasers, TNTS, bombs, deadly sharks and all sorts of dangerous hazards that really made the game play so fun and addicting. The choice of music was really cool. The techno music you have chosen was really a good choice because it suited the game. The story and the cut scenes were fairly basic but were much better than some of the cut scenes I have seen in recent GM platform games, so well done!!!

:( Sadly, this fun game isn't without its mishaps. Firstly, I fount a bug. When I pressed the help option on the menu screen, the menu sort of when buggy and I couldn't select the options anymore and was forced to exit the game. Also, I think the fact that the game only saves every 10 levels is pretty annoying. This is because some of the levels take alot of maneuvering and timed jumps and some people may get annoyed when they can't complete a certain level but are unable to return to the level because they haven't finished the world.

FINAL JUDGEMENT: Colorblind Fix 3 is definitely a nice addition to the colorful series (excuse the pun, again). Nice, eye-pleasing graphics, fun game play, good story and wicked techno tunes unquestionably make this a game you should have on your computer if you’re bored of the little red square or just looking for simple, clean fun.

SCORE: 8/10

Well I am very proud that you released this game! I have been waiting it out playing Colorblind Fix 2 for a wile now. This game does not since to impress me. You skill has grown a lot since the second edition of this series. The image_alpha use is ace, and the controls are easy and well worked out. The menus and the over all experience is very professionally done, I cant wait to see your next game. (Although I have a felling it will be a new game you seam to sound board with Colorblind Fix.)
I waited over two hours to download this game on a 56k modem, people this is well worth it. :lol:

Download link won't work for me, I'm using Firefox. I get a MySQL error of some sort.

Looking forward to playing it too - since apparently it's "harder than Jumper" =P

Don't think that'd mean much - from what I played in the WIP forum this is a completely different style of platformer from Jumper. Although it does have a similar graphical style and main character, your level design style is much different from mine - you have less emphasis on the player mastering the controls (if that made sense).

Anyways, fix the link and I'll play it (and probably review it for GMG too).

Download worked fine for me and took about 8 minutes...
I had been waiting for this release, and truly it`s one of my favorite GM games ever. Great level design, nice variety of challenges and objects in general (were they something like 1000 at count?) I like much the graphics style also, really neat and colorful as said, and the music fits the game well. Sure I`ll play it for a long time ahead, not only because it has 100 levels. :lol:
AWESOME GAME!

Got it and am playing.

So far it's pretty high quality in presentation. Thew first world was pretty slow and I almost quit but gave it a chance and kept going.

So far it seems like you've "borrowed" all your gameplay ideas from other platformers - so far I've spotted stuff from Mario Bros. 2 (the key you have to carry to the lock blocks), and Jumper (the little blue circle you hop in to shoot yourself in a direction and the electricity system), and the game in general just reminds me alot of Kirby (the graphics and music). This isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just gives the game a been-there-done-that sort of feel. The second boss was a good challange but it's way too frustrating to run out of lives against him and then have to go back to the start of world 2, considering he's the only hard part of world 2.

But my impressions aren't completely negative! There was one stage I thought was unique, I think it was 2-2, where you have to press down the green buttons to make the green floors disappear/reappear and it formed a sort of maze. I'm looking forward to a more difficult version of that stage later on.

To me it seems like this is a compilation of all the platform ideas you could remember from games you've played. Not necessarily a bad thing, but if someone is looking for new stuff this isn't where to find it. Sort of like a collection of generic platforming challanges - they're fun, but if you've seen them before, they can get tedious.

I don't believe in number ratings (at least on the GMC), so I'll just sum up that big long thing in a pros/cons type of deal:

Pros:
-Great presentation
-Music rocks
-Feels "complete"
-Smooth engine
-Very long

Cons:
-Starts very slow
-Not much replay value
-Level designs feel generic
-In general not very unique
-Some difficulty balancing problems (mainly with bosses being harder than the worlds)

And that's my honest opinion =) Thanks for putting so much work into another fine GM platformer.

10x for the comments :lol:

@Sparx
I through the help button bug was fixed :chikin
Yes 10 levels are pretty much :(
I increased the number of lives to 10 , but it's still hard ^_^
I have no problems beating the 1st 3 worlds. I usually get to w3 with
13 lives or more.

@Andy
Thanks :)
My next game is RPG , not platformer!

@YoMamasMama
The game haves pretty high system requitments -
On some levels it runs fast , on others pretty slow!

Yes , many things are from other games :(
To fill 100 levels I must get the ideas for somewhere...

Sorry for the D/L link problems :o
That is the only host that could upload the file

By "starts very slow" I meant the pacing - the first world is very easy but takes a long time to complete.
