Just like you said, this is something else. It's difficult and challanging, BUT it's like impossible to get through level 2.

The logo on the title screen and loading screen is awesome. How did you get/make that red gem-like image?

The rolling graphic is really unrealistic. I know it would have been hard to make a ball roll well, but... it's not impossible. What you have looks very strange, especially because the highlight somehow rolls under the ball, implying that it is not in fact a highlight, but a light spot painted on the sphere. I notice you did make it rotate... but the way it quickly spins does not look realistic at all. Yes, it's a very hard thing to do right. I think the best way would be to have a nearly untextured sphere, to start with. Only when it is moving, show the rolling animation rotated to the correct direction. Have this rolling animation be a barely noticeable movement of the grain on the ball (so when it stops, it will not be noticed that it jumps back). Then use alpha functions to draw the highlights and shading on top of the rolling image.

It's good that you have a tutorial. The checkpoint sound was too loud and annoying. A nice 'ding' would be much better (oh! No it is not! My ball actually got stuck in the corner and repeatedly smacked against the wall; that's what the sound was.) I like your wall hit sounds. The pearl falls painfully slowly after going off an edge, and inexplicably loses its lateral speed as well. Make it disappear much, much faster, and make it just slow down as it falls (make it look as if it is not slowing down, but since the distance is increasing it just appears to be slowing down). The blur trail your ball makes when it moves fast is awesome. Your breaking blocks are very well drawn.

There are places in the second level where I thought this game might be better with a time limit. It seems too easy sometimes when you can just go slowly rather than having to worry about hitting walls, holes etc.

Then after like the second level it suddenly gets really really hard. I quit playing at this point (thin platforms, lots of puller-things, etc.) because it was kind of annoyingly hard. You should aim for a more graceful difficulty curve.

Graphix: 8/10
Sounds: 6/10 No background music :D
Gameplay: 8/10 Good gameplay, only use more modes! Adventure, race against time, minigames etc.

Overall: 7,3

Lots of potential!!!!!

Thanks for the review Jesper.

I left the music out so you can have your own playing whilst the game is running. The game window is fairly small so you can still see your media player. That and I couldn't find any music that really fit.

I'm thinking of adding different modes but going on the amount of feedback here so far I don't think anyone is intrested.

Awesome game! I thought of some cliche (however some are very awesome) platformer, but it was actually top down!
SUCH A GREAT CONCEPT! SO AWESOME.

The good:

+Graphics, very nice!
+AWESOME gameplay, very original!!!
+So much fun to play (cause the gameplay is so good and cause its so original)! Addicting too.
+Great name! (am i the only one who noticed that!?!? :D )
+No bugs
+Much levels!
+It gets harder and harder each level
+Much game objects, variety is good!
+Tutorial!
+Very nice title screen(menus, looks etc)
+Enviroment looks good and is just... awesome! And its different in different levels too.

The bad:

-No music, although you have a very good reason :)

Quote

There's no music this was left out allowing people to listen to there own music as they play.

So that doesnt really count.

-Not much sounds

Overal: Original, entertaining till the last level, addicting, high replay value!

EDIT:
This is gonna be a hot topic for sure :) ( especially if you add a quote of mine to the subtitle  :D )

Wow thanks for the seriously good feedback. Knew someone would like the game as much as I do. Don't know about this becoming a hot topic though it's not exactly getting many replies.

Like you said though I had to add one of your quotes to the subtitle.

Wow thats some seriously good feedback. How hasn't this become a hot topic yet?!?

@ Bonecollector:
Thanks for the award and great comments. I hope your right about this becoming a hot topic.

@ Don Arthuro:
28 if you include the tutorial. Keep trying.

@ CPS & kylethompson:
Thanks very much.

I'm thinking of making some more levels. I'll update it again for sure if it gets anymore popular.

@ firewall1:
A lot of people say games I've made are to hard. Think it might be because I've played so many I don't really see the difficulty when testing them. I also like a challenge.

@ [SJB]Dude7:
Thanks. I always thought the graphics were fairly simple.

@ gamemakerandy:
Thanks and well done finishing every level is no easy task.
