Description:
Infection is a platform shooter with a style alot like metroid. It is alot more linear with no exploration but it has alot of action. You are sent to a planet to wipe out all the life infected by the asteroid that hit the planet. There are about 28 rooms to go threw and 5 different areas. Like Jetz Fusion it is a shorter game but has a huge challenge. If you think Level 1 or 2 is hard just wait till you see 4 and 5. Of course there are a couple save points in that area and a extra life of two. But if you get touched by one of the dinos your gone. Those guys can rip you up in a few seconds. Probably not recomended for younger adiences hahaha like all my games. Has some cussing and blood! Yay

Awesome stuff so far Shawn64. I just love the visuals and the sounds blend in perfectly. One thing about the player's speed. You might want to decrease the max hspeed some because I can jump over large groups of enemies without having to shoot much. The wall jump thing is sweet! It would be cool if, when he does this, small bits of debris fall from the wall when he jumps on it as a cool effect. BTW, did you use timelines for the cut sense?

for the intro cut scene i used alarms and then it went to a new room

for the ending cut scene it checks if the sound is over then plays the next one and sets text different etc..

Hmm, who made that engine? It sure is genious and spectacular. And I love the ai for those flying round things. And the bulletholes are a great touch-- took a genious mind to come up with that, I can tell.

Really nice shawn it has quite a few nice upgraades from the demo i few little extra traps as well. very well done though i do find the lack of saveing a bit for a drag because haveing to redo the first part again and again gets old.

It is indeed another great game. I've yet to find any bugs in it. The only thing I have a problem with is the save points. I read you reasons in the readme file and I think the game is already difficult enough. The lack of enough save points makes the game more frustrating than difficult. I'll probably keep playing it though. :)

the gfx are really cool as usual but for the gameplay, it really annoyed me that he walks like he's on ice. it really decreases the fun.

Beats me who said that but they obviously spent too much time playing video games. ;)

I made it up to 3-5 before dying and now have to start over again from scratch. It certainly is addictive and the sliding effect wasn't that difficult to master, but the lack of sufficent save points really hurts replay value. I keep trying tho...
