2.4! Day . of . Madness WARNING CONTAINS VIOLENCE AND GORE(can be turned on or off.) Here is version 2.4 of my platformer war game called day of madness it is a madness interactive like physics engine and i was wondering what people thought about it. reviews -Graphics: 10/10 - Amazing! -Sound: 7/10 - -Enviorment: 8/10 - Some objects felt out of place. -gameplay: 10/10 - Fantastic! -Bonus: 5/5 - For a good Work in Progress game. - Confederacy -wow! I love this game! 8/10-rocko de pinto -I Love that game- "mikeroi" -good job! - "eyelidman" -Ah looking really nice now, - "frogguts198" -Nice. -" the code." -Pretty cool.. i give it a 7/10 - "wantenthestupidcow" -Overall, I liked it, keep it up and I would like to see more! - "alex muncatchy" -It has good use of GM's registered effects. I give it a 7/10 - "abacus" -Overall, I give it a 8.5/10 for a WIP, for smooth animations, good gameplay, and a show of promise - "monkeys" things to look at - notice shift is slowmo -platformer -only an engine for now -flag capture mode added -only executable -cool effects with guns -new charecter sprites -great effects and particles. -lots of fun shooting, enemys. guns actually have recoil effects!!! new updated Screenshots new menu added click to enlarge the menu! new effects added ![]() m16 with grenade attachment and HUD ![]() others NEW FLAG CAPTURE MODE!!! duelies and grenade explosion ak-47 anihilating enmys! Download dayofmadnessv2.1.zip download from 64digits V,2.0 download from hosta-net V,2.0: download from 64digits V,1.9 dowload from hosta-net V,1.9 V,1.8 V,1.5 V,1.2 V,1.1(once you play the game check this out to see how far its come, i was unable to find my very first one, but its just a guy with a gun that can spin and shoot no enemys or special sprites <span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>please leave feedback</span>i have noticed many people are dowloading my game but do not leave feedback, I would really appreciate some feedback to better my game. 2.4 -auto reload fixed -enemies are now easier (hope to add difficulty in the next update)! -level one sound added before it took up 4mb so i had to decrease it -new graphics in some areas and objects -2 new levels -custcene of jeep still working on it -hoping to add a boss fight thats what the last level is -underground level expanded! 2.2 -enemy souls -automatic reload on guns(not 100% working yet for duelies) -new graphixs -new main sound sounds soooo much better -little tweeks here and there 2.1 better cutscene enemy souls follow you ememies left added to hud new sewer level allitle lag reduction done(hope to decrease lag with new techniques i found out about) 2.0 new backround and platform sprites new gun effects new cutcene new hp circle reload glitch fixed extras added to menu under 1.9 enemy weapons swords and guns ak is fully auto and bulletshels come out of it, new reloading animation, more sounds added great menu added name change and logo added to beggining blood,on,off save/loading added new charecter sprites added (q to change them) grenade available with ak (press f) enemys are now two parts head and body not just toghether so they take more damage in the head help menu updated. enemy ai better all glitches fixed that i know of. weapon added single shot rifle(hurts more) now 3 weapons (im adding more) enemys have 3 types of weapons can change charecter color and room speed menu glitches fixed -enemy weapons have ammo -enemy weapons shoot slower -awsome new shooting particle effects added to guns and bullets -movement slightly changed -new charecter sprites Q to change -slowmo mode enhanced use the shift key -new player death sequnece added -death now restarts level instead of game! -a few new menu options -amazing and cool looking hud added (shows weapons currently in use, flashes when hit, and hp moved from man to hud for convenience,ammo count for duelies now works!) thats all i can think of righ now. working on: more levels! making it online more guns (of course) more enemys storyline ai to make enemys jump instead of stop at wall crouching/prone friendlies more levels and much much more resources: thanks to gamecave for saving me time in creating particles and other effects that inhance game graphics. all sprites were drawn by me<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>(except the wall sprite on wall mart is from google images)</span> if you find any glitches please tell me so i can fix them and please leave some feedback on your thoughts about my game thank you!!! other: im also starting free spriting for game credithere is the link to the free spriting forum. good job!
obviously needs some real gameplay but I know this is just an engine. just a few things that need to be fixed. the enimies can't be killed you can jump higher if you are right on a corner of a ledge the phisics are a bit messed sometimes. also, don't put things like, "check it out its awesome!" in the discription as it leads people to think you're imature and not play your game. Put something actually describing your game. |

i added a sweet menu and changed the blood so it would not cause the game too lag
the enemies now move tword you. working on enemy weapons- for some reson only one enemy has the weapon then when he dies it goes to the next one more levels missions more guns a storyline and many more This post has been edited by jkilla: May 15 2006, 02:43 AM |

Ah looking really nice now, the ak is cool but it just doesnt have that feeling of an AK shooting, also its cool that you can stab with the bayonette at the tip. The graphics look nice even though technicall you jsut edited mine lol. Also I like the random store names in the background, like La Tienda and it was right next to a store called The Store (Spanish humor peeps.) The effects were nice. The menu is pretty cool looking. Keep working on this and adding to it, it could be great one day.

yah new update.
whats new: enemy guns added new charecter sprites press (q) to change new logo on start enemys now have multiple body parts (head separate from body) new reloading animation bullet shells new recoil looks even more sweet ak now has 40 ammo like real life ak shoots fully auto smoke effect when gun shoots grenade(only with ak)press f i need to add this in the instructions i forgot new boxes of ammo that explode cooler and have ammo better collisons for guy doesnt warp through walls when hit new backround textures plz give some feedback on what you think and any new glitches that have arrised |

The AI can jump gaps, jump to your platform, ain and shoot and follow you. Just aboout anything you can preform, he can to. although i am working on him jumping over obstacles that are inbetween him and the player.

new update
better menu glitches when changing weapons removed new slowmo new enmy mp44!! grenade animation fixed you now die when health = 0 all sprites from backround changed- they are now 3d!!! looking thanks for all the help and feedback guys. but i wish more people would respond. |
